Steps for creating a quilling project

Materials:

  • Collall Quilling Glue
  • Quilling paper strips
  • Collall quilling tool or a large pricking pen as a tool pen for quilling.
  • Paper or cardboard as a base for your artwork

Optional: tweezers for handling small parts

  • Decide on the type of design you want to create. You may want to create flowers, animals, geometric shapes, or something else.
  • Cut the quilling paper strips to the desired length and width, depending on your design. Long strips are useful for large shapes, while shorter strips are suitable for smaller details.
  • Roll the paper strips: use your quilling tool or Collall quilling tool to clamp the end of a paper strip and then tightly roll the paper around the tool. Once you’ve achieved the desired rolling pattern, gently release the roll and let the paper hold its shape. You can create different shapes and sizes by varying how tightly you roll and how large the roll is.
  • Attachment of the coils: apply a small amount of Collall Quilling Glue to the end of the coil and press it firmly to prevent it from coming loose. Repeat this process for all paper strips you need for your design.
  • Now start shaping the various quilling shapes you need for your design. These can be simple shapes like circles, hearts, or ovals, or more complex shapes like flower petals or animal bodies. Use Collall Quilling Glue to hold the formed pieces in place on your base paper or cardboard. You can apply the glue directly to the paper or apply a small amount to the quilling shape itself before placing it on the paper.
  • Let it dry: allow your quilling artwork to dry completely before moving or displaying it. Collall Quilling Glue has quick adhesion and dries fairly quickly, but it may take some time for all layers to fully cure. Depending on the number of layers and the thickness of the paper.

Optional: finishing, if desired, you can further customize your quilling artwork by adding extra details such as Flash Glitter, paint, or other decorative elements.
