What Are Decoupage Techniques?

Decoupage is a creative technique where you apply images or decorations (such as paper, napkins, or fabric) onto a surface and fix them with a layer of glue and varnish. The result is a smooth, professional finish that resembles paint. Decoupage can be used to transform everyday objects into unique works of art.

Examples of Decoupage Projects:

  1. Decorating Furniture: Refresh an old table, chair, or cabinet by adding images or decorative paper.
  2. Personalized Gifts: Decorate boxes, photo frames, or candle holders with images, napkins, or fabric.
  3. DIY Home Decor: Create art on canvas, cheerful flower pots, or unique paintings.
  4. Upcycling Objects: Reuse glass jars, bottles, or old tins by decorating them with tissue paper or napkins.

How to Use Collall Decoupage Glue:

  1. Choose Your Materials:
    • Gather decorations such as paper napkins, tissue paper, or printed images.
    • Ensure your surface is clean and dry. Suitable surfaces include paper, cardboard, wood, fabric, or stone.
  2. Prepare the Image:
    • Cut or tear the decorative paper into the desired shape or size.
    • For napkins, only use the top printed layer.
  3. Apply the Collall Decoupage Glue:
    • Apply a thin layer of Collall Decoupage Glue to the surface where you want to place the decorative paper.
    • Carefully place the decorative paper on the glue. Use a brush or your fingers to smooth out air bubbles and wrinkles.
  4. Allow to Dry:
    • Let the piece dry completely. The glue dries transparent, giving a smooth and professional appearance.
  5. Seal and Protect with Collall Decoupage Varnish:
    • For extra protection or a glossy finish, you can apply varnish after drying.
    • Apply a second thin layer of Collall Decoupage Varnish over the image as a protective coating.

With Collall Decoupage Glue, you can easily apply these techniques and enjoy a durable, strong, and professional result!
