Collall Bookbinding Glue is a versatile, thick liquid white glue based on water, which is also called cachet glue. The word ‘cachet glue’ comes from the French verb ‘cacher,’ which means to hide or cover. In the context of gluing and bookbinding, ‘cachet’ refers to the process of adhering paper, fabric, or other material to a surface, often to reinforce it, protect it, or to create a beautiful finish.
Cachet glue is specifically used for applying this type of coating or reinforcement, for example, in bookbinding where the cover material is glued to the book spine, or when covering cardboard boxes and packaging. The purpose is often to hide or enhance the underlying structure.
Collall Bookbinding Glue is ideal for binding and repairing books. Whether you want to create a new book cover, repair a detached spine, or breathe new life into an old book, this glue provides the strong adhesion needed to make your books sturdy and durable. Thanks to its thick liquid consistency, you can apply the glue precisely where you need it, without unwanted smearing.
For artists and hobbyists, this glue is perfect for impregnating and preparing canvas. By treating the canvas with Collall Bookbinding Glue, you create a solid and even surface ready to be painted. The canvas receives a smooth and durable finish, resulting in a long-lasting beautiful end result and a less absorbent surface.
The popularity of scrapbooking and journaling continues to grow, and Collall Bookbinding Glue is the perfect choice for these creative expressions. Thanks to the flexible and strong adhesion, you can easily attach paper, photos, and decorative elements to your pages without the risk of wrinkling or tearing. The glue dries clear, making your work look professional and neat, even when using thin paper types.
Collall Bookbinding Glue is also excellent for use as a binder for making paints. By adding pigments to the glue, you can create your own colors and textures, perfect for both artists and DIY enthusiasts. The glue ensures a stable and durable paint that adheres well to both canvas and other surfaces.
Thanks to the flexibility of Collall Bookbinding Glue, this glue is also extremely suitable for model building. It is ideal for gluing various materials such as rails, wood, and plastic parts. The glue provides a strong bond without becoming hard and brittle, which is especially important in models exposed to movement or vibrations.
